Belmayne is situated off the Malahide Road at Balgriffin, close to the new Hilton Hotel and just a few minutes drive from the M1 and M50 motorways. It is a short drive from Malahide, Portmarnock and Howth villages and 5.6 miles from Dublin city centre.

Creating a new suburb is a large project. Some areas of Belmayne are already completed, and development of the remaining phases is underway. The overall timescale for the project is 10 years.

The M1 and M50 are just a few minutes drive away and Belmayne is located 5.6 miles from the city centre

A new DART station - Clongriffin - is located adjacent to Belmayne and is due to open in 2009. The city centre is also accessible by bus via the Malahide QBC.

(10) What retail amenities are available at Belmayne?

Belmayne will have its own supermarkets, pharmacy, off-licence and post-office.

Belmayne is served by a creche and two new national schools on a site earmarked by the Department of Education at the Malahide Road / Grange Road crossing.

Educate Together opened a school on the site in Belmayne in September 2008, and the school launched its pre-enrolment list in December 2007.

St Francis of Assisi Primary School opened on September 1st 2008.

Bumble Bee Creche also opened its doors in Belmayne late 2008.

(12) What leisure amenities are available at Belmayne?

There is a Total Fitness Health Club located beside the development and Belmayne is a short walk from the Mayne River District Park and Father Collins Park.

Clontarf Golf Course and Portmarnock and Royal Dublin Golf Links are a short drive away as are Malahide Tennis Club and the sailing clubs at Sutton, Malahide and Howth.

Belmayne is also a short distance from Clontarf RFC, and a wide selection of well established and successful GAA and soccer clubs.
